Welcome to Gold Sounds 2022.

Local Dja Dja Wurrung elder, Uncle Rick Nelson will start proceedings with a Welcome to Country. The welcome will continue with the regional launch of Sound Country - a green resource put together by Green Music Australia, and a live performance from Carissa Nyalu.

Friday’s program features sessions on mental health wellness, music and activism, regional festival, programming, grants and funding, and a session on creative collaboration.

Gold Sounds is privileged to be held on Djaara Country and pay our respects to the Dja Dja Wurrung people. We acknowledge that they are the traditional custodians of the land on which we are located and we pay our respects to them, their culture and their Elders past and present, and thank them for the care they have taken of Country.
