Gold Sounds Music Conference

A four-day event designed to bring together the Victorian music communities, in a regional setting.

13—16 October 2022

Held on Djaara Country in the centre of Castlemaine, the Gold Sounds Music Conference sessions will cover topics including: Music & Identity, Touring, Festival Programming, Grants & Funding, Working in Creative Teams, Music & Activism, Copyright & Licensing, Songwriters in Conversation - and more.

Gold Sounds will also feature in-depth songwriting workshops, music interview training and other practical sessions.

The event will include collaborations with APRA AMCOS, Australia Council for the Arts, Community Media Training Organisation, Creative Victoria, Green Music Australia, FReeZA, Mount Alexander Shire Council, Music Victoria, Regional Arts Victoria, Support Act and VMDO.

The 2021 Conference was part of Music Victoria’s Regional Music Development program, attracting more than 100 people from the music industry and community across the weekend and won the Mount Alexander Shire Council Community Event of the Year.
